Retirees

Our retired members are not forgotten! Provided you have been a member for ten or more years you are invited to join in the fun at the annual Summer outings & Christmas parties.

How does it work?

The members attached to a Company location generally constitute a Branch.  The Branch is run by an elected Committee.  The Branch answers to the Lothian Life Management Committee.  Each Branch organises various events such as Christmas Parties, Children’s Picnics, Retired Employee Outings, Drives, and of course Social Evenings.  Sections within Branches offer sports and leisure events for example – Golf, Fishing, Motor Cycling, Snooker, Lawn Bowls and the First Aid Section.  Those with a sporting interest in one sport, or many, will be pleasantly surprised what activities are on offer to Lothian Life members.

All colleagues, as a minimum, will receive the Edinburgh Living Wage unless bonuses and/or commission payments are regularly paid in addition to basic pay.

How do I join?

Simply download and fill out the application form. This can then be returned to either the HR team or Payroll for the appropriate deduction to be made.

I have an idea!

Lothian Life welcomes new ideas as warmly as it welcomes fresh faces.  Lothian Life and all it offers is there for you to enjoy and take part.

If your particular interest or sport does not currently feature, why not consider setting up a section with like minded colleagues? Details are available via your Branch representatives or in the Constitution and Rules.
